I think everyone has had this problem. I believe it is a 13mm bolt. I took a hammer and pounded a 6 point (make sure you use a 6 point, not a 12 or that will strip also) socket on it.
Silly part was I did not have a replacement bolt, so I just put it back on and could not get the socket off. I drove around with that socket attached for quite awhile. I did get a few comments from my friends. Bolt is ruined anyway, not going to hurt beating a smaller socket on it. Make sure you do not hit it so hard you crack the case, some small heavy taps did it for me.
