Being new to the group I have the same issue you had a stripped bolt. I heard about an adapter plate but starting here I emailed the person in a few posts down from your original one. I also found a web site, machinemagic1.com/index.htm they have the products but no pricing on the web. Several styles and quite nice looking I might add. jsut thought I would let you know if you were still interested in this route.

Hi all, I spoke to the guy at Machine Magic today and he is a small machine shop in VA. Nice looking stuff and a decent person to speak to. I am sending him the $65(shipping included) for a new spin on adapter thats polished, $5 less for machine finish. He recommends the Honda filter only and puts that on the adapter plate. I'll let you all know when I get mine how it fits.

I looked at the listing on Ebay but it shows a regular spin on filter like a Fram or something else. The person at Machine Magic said he recommends the Honda filter because it has a pressure relief valve like my oem system. Besides $65 is not out of hand., Thank you for the listing though. I appreciate it.

Checks already sent off. I have a good dealer here that doesn't treat you as though you were a Harley rider and can afford a million repairs. Thanks for the advice though. I might try to see what filter I can get it in from the auto parts guys. I like Pure One from Purolater the best wonder if they have one that might cross over.
