Stupid me, setting the GL1200 clock

I just have to admit a stupid thing I did (and hopefully save someone else time and embarrassment). I wired a lighter plug into the dash of my GL 1200 and couldn't figure out what was wrong with my clock. (http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum1/142182.html)

It was blinking, but I couldn't reset it. The set knob did nothing. I pulled fuses thinking I could clear it out and have the electronics reset itself. Nothing.

Finally it dawned on me. Turn the key to the on position and the set button works!
