Hello,

In the Honda parts list I see different article numbers of the swing arm and the shaft drive between a 1981 Standard and a 1983 Aspencade GL1100.
Does anybody know if there is a difference in the swing arm length?

I would say no as I don't see anything that distinguishes one model from another in the service sections when it comes to shaft length.

Though, this does show a 4.6" length difference overall:

i didnt think there was a length differenth but rather caliper mounting difference and a few others.

I'm not sure about swingarm length, but the wheels changed between 80/81 and 82/83 a couple inches smaller, which would account for the overall length difference.
