I believe this is the green wire that runs back to the tail lights. Is this corrrect? I know the little crossover wire behind the tag is a usual culprit also. It kills my Main #1 Fuse to the right on my fuse box. Just started!

Update:
I took the Master Fuse out of my Fusebox,(GL1100 Standard The one to the right, (5 volts) and My Tail Ligits come back on, but no Headlight! Not either bright nor dim. Everything else works. This is really wierd. I either have a bad headlight, or a short. I am gonna check headlight with an Ohm Meter as soon as I can. will keep you updaed. Isn't there a fuse that runs to the tail light in the faring on the left side? I'll check it tommorrow if I have time. I also notoced that my instrument panel lights up MUCH better now that this has happened. I used to have to strain to see them, but not now. They do like thay are supposed to. I could have done it today, but I had to cut garss from 8am until 6:30pm. Still not done.

P.S.
If I do have a Headlight Bad or going bad, Is there a replacement that anyone knows of that I can purchase at Auto Zone or NAPA that does not pull as much voltage?

i had this same thing happen on an old 76 1000 I had over 15 years ago while on a trip to Daytona Beach. Turned out to be a bad rear brake light switch shorting to ground. 10 bucks spent at the Honda dealer in St. Augustine fixed that.

All the headlights will be 12V. I would suggest getting the standard 60/55 watt bulb. I replaced mine with a sealed beam Xtravision from Auto Zone. It was a big improvement, cost about $15. Unfortunately nowhere on the box can I find the wattage.

Thanks. I found the fuse problem. When I first got my 80 GL1100 Last Year, I cut the stator wires, and soldered them together, and then, I run a dogbone fusebox outside of my soleonid under the cover. It got rusted, and had a break in it, and was enough to cause it to "cut out" some. It blew several fuses because of the power spikes. I thought I had Carb problems. I went to Advance Auto Parts and bought another with some new fuses, and instaled it, and it solved the problem. Now, everything works as it should. Even the Stator is still ok. I thought I ws going to have to replace it because my power was draining.
