Ive checked the bulbs and wiring and all appear to be alright, but I cant get the tail lights to work...any suggestions ? 1983 Goldwing

Does "appear to be alright" mean you checked the wires feed and ground with a meter? If you did and they check out okay then you have a faulty bulbholder.

You say its just the tail lights that aren't working. Just check with a multimeter to see if you are getting a positive feed and then check the ground wire in case that's not working. If you get 12 volts when you run the meter across those to wires at the lamp end, then the fault is in the lamp unit.

Roger, did you use a meter to check the wires, or did you just look to see they were connected? It's just that you don't seem sure, tell us how you checked it out so that we can take it from thre.
