Unlike every other bike I have ever owned, this is not a simple thing. How do I do it?

i noticed you have a interstate model . it does not have the air compressor. so there is only the 4 bolts to remove the false tank . its much easery with the lowers removed to remove and reinstalle the bolts. hope this helps some.

My Aspencade (the one in the pictures in the site above) is much more difficult to remove the tank from than your Interstate will be. 90% of the work on the Aspencade is dealing with the air compressor lines, fittings nad controls, 10% is taking the actual tank off. You should be able to take the tank off your Interstate in under 10 minutes (at least after you've done it once, and realize how simple it is).
