Since motorcycle stuff is on or going on clearance sales I thought I'd check out a tank bag for my 1998 1500. I want to do some weekend camping next year and want to max my storage ability.

I went to Goldwing Country http://motorcycle-accessories.goldwingcountry.com/search?model=&username=&w=tank+bag&Model_ID=71and the bags don't look like they would work properly on a false tank since they "fit all models".

Anyone have a tag bag they would suggest for a 1500? Easy togas up, mounts without scraping paint, hold map on top, and waterproof

Thanks

The best one out there is the Fire Creek bag. But unfortunately it is not in production right now. But I don't know of anything else out there, that works as well.

It is designed specifically for the 1500.

Someone told me once that if there was enough interest, they might make another run. I hope that is true.

I would love to get a second one, as I use mine all the time and it won't last forever.

I am using a bag for a Black N Decker power tool of some type, drill I think.
Found it for about 25cents at a thrift shop and it's working well.
I set it on tank over radio and used a small bungy to hold it in place.
My first tank bag LOL
I like it a lot, very handy, soon I will be looking for a real bag or making one.
