Does anybody on this wonderful forum know where to get new seat cover for 89 gl1500 or a good place to get it repaired. thank you all for the good info on this site.

I don't know anything about this place but they have a lot of seats covers for all brands motorcycles. Just ran across it on Ebay. You might want to check it.

Hartco make saddle covers for the 1500, but they don't look or fit as well as the OEM cover.

If you have a local upholsterer he may be able to re-cover it for ya

I'll second Midwing's suggestion. I took my 1200's seat to a local upholstery shop, did a great job at a very reasonable price.
