Well, I did everything as instructed and it worked for a little while. The thing is, the left front pads (the suspected culprits) do not have a puck on the back, it is a smooth back. So, my suspicion is when I cleaned and reassembled it just worked it's way back into a squeak.The GL12 has little spring things behind the pads. They're supposed to stop the squeal.
From what you've described, thepuck may not going back into the caliper correctly. That may be from a build-up of gunk in the master cylinder. Or crud on the puck itself. Or even dry mounting pins. Look the whole system over very carefully. Chances are it's a little bit of everything listed above.
