Did an oil and filter change...adjusted the air pressure front and rear...decided a test ride was in order.
Long and short of it, the bike ran great..as always..
On the way back into town I noticed a zoomsplat coming towards me...the rider looked he was standing up...as he approached me, the bike stood up too.
I was cruising at about 115kms...when he rode past me.. he was going faster than me...on one wheel.
I was impressed with the power of his machine...and with the fact that he felt he needed to 'show' me what hisride could do....I watched in the mirror as he lost control and crossed the center line headed toward the ditch.
He dropped the front wheel close to the start of the shoulder and managed to get it back onto the road..
I thought for sure that I was going to be turning around andstarting the clock on his golden hour...
My ride went from joy to oh my god...then subdued calm..almost a little anger..
Why people feel the need to PROVE themselves...and endanger others..I dunna..

Just like alot of cagers that feel the need to show off or be up front by any means.I had a kneescraper pass me on rt2 i was going 75mph and he passed me on 1 wheel doing at least 90.I am still amazed to this day about that riders skills or is it nonsence because it sure wasnt common

Wheelies on public streets are an incredible danger to those around them. I don't feel sorry for the rider as much in that case.
I think wheelies are fun. Almost all of us did them when we were 10yo and playing with dirt bikes.
As long as there is youth, we'll have this kind of behavior. Let's just hope they learn their lessons as they age.

I can't say I wouldn't be doing that too if I were still a young man. Good thing there weren't any bikes that would run like that when I was young, I tried just about everything that could be tried on my old 150 and 160 hondas.

Have a nick-name that refers to guys like that- "Future Organ Donors."
Driving my ma's van a while back and had a couple of them come from the back of the pack on a two-lane road. I was doing the requisite 60 and the came from far far back, and fast. I'd guess they were approaching twice the speed of everyone else. Thing was that they did it right before a crest and a turn- across a double-line. They didn't know there was a pickup coming over the hill. First guy put down out of the wheelie and just made it, but the second would have gotten popped if I hadn't stood on the brakes and let him in. You know what the ungrateful little weasel did? Looked back and flipped me off.
I may be young(I am), but stupid is age-independent. There just seems to be more young ones on average 'cause most of them don't make it past 30.
Coming upon the scene of a crash, 99% of people I'd stop for. I see that idiot or one like him stunting before smacking into something? If he hits a person or another vehicle, then I'll stop, but if it's just him and some non-sentient solid? I'm laughing all the way home.
