This is how I Tethered my side covers using steal fishing leaders.
I connected the leaders to the "TOP" peg & gromet of the covers.
First, for the "Top rear Peg" I used a 6 inch leader. Removed the hookfrom the leader. Then with a 9 inch leader, remove the "Swivel" end. ( 9 inch is not shown in pic, but the 6 inch is and should give you the idea)
Notice how it is to be "Looped" through itself.

The "Top rear Peg" needs to be drilled. No larger then 1/16 drill bit.( think I used 3/32 ) This is where I "Looped" the 6 inch leader. Then the 9 inch is looped onto the grommet where the peg inserts. Now I have the Hook from the 9 inch hooked onto the Swivel from the 6 inch. This makes it easy to remove the cover completely, and leaving the "Tethers" connected.

For the "Front Top Grommet" , I used only ONE leader ,,,,, 12 inch I think. No need forremoving hook or swivel. Just wrap around the frame and then through the grommet on the cover and hook that.

I hope this gives anyone ideas,,,,,,, or even better ideas. It's just my own idea. I have thought of adding a small spring thinking it might take up some of the shock if the cover were to ever be blown off. Would like to hear any thoughts of that.
