Just taking a moment to thank one of the Senior Gurus at this website. You'rea gentleman and a scholar in my book and I cant thank ya enough, Exavid (Paul).

I never could get the right side accessory foglamp to work on my GL 1500; in fact, it had never worked since I bought the bike 3 years ago. Techs have been stumped.Wont have to worry about that again, thanks to Paul.

I rolled into his garageabout an hour down the road from my place in Seattle. After he completely rewired the fog lamp, he put the bike up on thelift and showed me how to replace the blownturning light, too...

Now the wife and I are moving to Reno, NVin a couple weeks... Paul, you know you are going to have to stop for a beer on your way to Tahoe! Here's to ya, Paul... thanks.

I havent had the pleasure of meeting Paul yet. All of us at the WC Wingnut Jamboree where hoping he would join us. As a matter of fact, it would have been nice to have you there, too.

Aint it nice to have such a place to go for information, advice, and even friendship?

My hats off to everyone who makes this forum work.

There are times when even a seniorguru needs to get his hands on the bike to fix a problem instead of trying to diagnose a problem on the forum. Well done Paul, you really deserve the senior guru title. :clapper::clapper::clapper::clapper:

Oh, I learned that a loooong time ago, one awshit cancels 100 attaboys!:bash:

Might just take you up on that Wingfriend, I do ride around the country some keep in touch. I might make it down that way next summer, next long ride has to start from my brother's in Stockton, CA. Since we live 700 miles apart we trade off on the starting point of rides so no one gets stuck for the extra 1400 miles each time.

Sorry to have missed the first Wingnut Jamboree this year, but repairing my daughter's house roof had to come first. I getdown that way now and then hoping to meet you guys andattend next year.

Machine cut, cedar shakes, hand split cedar, composition and plain old tar paper. More than I'd like to! Unfotunately her problem was dry rot in the eaves, shot fascia, and soffit due to gutters leaking for years. The idiots who they bought the house from had three composition shingle roofs layered on the place. They're going to have to rip it all off in afew years and reroof the place.

:goofygrin:I already told them I'd be too old by then to do it!

Nope, didn't forget never worked on them. Did put a bit of sod on an Inupiat fish camp igloo. Slopped hot tar once, don't want to do that again. Oh yeah, forgot a couple of corrugated fiberglass patio covers I put up including the roof over the gazebo I built over the hot tub in the back yard. I bought a air operated nailer from Harbor Freight last year, wow! Where have those things been all my life? And I thought an electric stapler to put down tar paper was great.

Axelwick,

"Be excellent to each other"...
A little ribbing now and then is not being un-excellent, especially between Gurus!

I guess the fact that he's had Wings... and the Sabre is a Honda... and it's red...

It's probably okay if it doesn't happen too often. I don't know how REDWING is gonna take it though.
