:waving:good evening to all. My wife and I just love our goldwing it is a 1989 gl1500. Just to be sure everything is copacetic my bike does clunk when I change gears, i am pretty sure I read somewhere that clunking was pretty normal . Yes or no? Oh it has about 65 thousand on it. yes is normal. it may go away if you shift below 1000 rpm

Yeah, mine clunks, but I always thought that was pretty cool on the big heavy duty Harleys when I use to ride the rice burners.

Don't wait too long to shift after you pull the clutch. If you let to rpms fall too low, it will definitelyclunk harder.

The faster the shift the better.
