I got rear ended on the way to work today. :stumped:Was sitting at a light, in the turn lane behind another vehicle. Foot on the brake, turn signals on.

Bump! Not too hard, fortunately. The guys bumper mostly hit the tire, but it did kiss my fender, and cracked the mounting point of my right turn signal.:fighting:

The sun was in his eyes, he says. He gave me cash for the repairs, and I gave him a lecture he wont soon forget. :bash:polite, but to the point.

Be careful out there, y'all.

And, see you at Diamond Lake, tomorrow!

That was a bummer UbarW, but I am sure I speak for all on here when I say, " sure glad you are ok":clapper:

Got rear ended fairly gently myself a few years back, even at low speed it was a bit disconserting. I jumped off the bike, to give the stupid driver a good mouthful, only to find a pretty young girl, crying like a baby over the steering wheel. Ended up sitting on a wall consoling her!! She phoned me next day and asked for a date, we went to the pub and she bought me a pint. Nothing came of it though, turned out we wouldn't have been compatible, but hey ho, not a bad resolution to a minor accident.

Hope you soon have the bits sorted and the bike up to scratch (excuse the pun).

One of the guys at our antique motorcycle club got rear-ended a few weeks ago. Luckily he had the bike pointed between the cars ahead of him. The car hit so hard it pushed the rear wheel up into the frame and the seat was pushed perpendicular to the tank. Only a few scratches to him, but the bikewas a total loss.

D**k,

I went to Radio Shack to purchase an enclosure for your LED brake light and they were out of them. I have the LEDs, resistors, and wire, but nothing to put it in. I'll get it built as soon as I can. See you tomorrow.
