I am currently trying to repair the cruise control on my 85 LTD. In the meantime I am noticing that when I let off the throttle and then accelerate there is hesitation then it "jumps" when giving it gas. Not only is this killing my mpg's but it is almost impossible to get that smooth transition when "rolling" the throttle. Is it a simple cable adjustment, or something else???:?

The easy thing would be to adjust some of the cable slack first and see it that fixes the problem.

Throttle response problem Foosman. Have not had a chance to adjust the throttle cable yet. Will let you know if I have a problem. Thanks

Sounds more like a carb fuel jet problem than a cable adjustment.
