Another stupid question. The throttle on my 1200 is buttery smooth. I can just lay my open hand on top of the grip & can rotate it.

On my 1500, I have to use my palm & four fingers to grip it enough to rotate it.

So, is the spring pressure (on the carb) on the 1500 way higher then the 1200, or do I have a problem with the throttle cables?:?

I can hold it open aways (like going down the highway) & release it, it will close on it's own, although it doesn't "Snap" shut like the 1200 does.

no. it should be a smooth as the 1200, there are two options:

1 cables routed incorrectly and bending so they dont run freely.

2 cables dry, worn and wasted.

I'd say William nailed that one, you might get some improvement by lubricating the cables but the only sure way to correct it would be to check the routing for sharp bends or replace the cables.

Thanks William, That what I was kind of thinking. The PO said he didn't make any modifications to the bike so it must be getting kind of dry. I'll look into replacing them soon.
