Ticking sound GL1500

Hi. I have a 1500 97mod that gets a ticking sound (not very loud)from the left side of the engine around 2400 rpm. The sound is not getting stronger by putting load on the engine. It goes away around 3000-3200 rpm. Any ideas? The engine has 80000km (50000 miles)on it. The sound is not there if you just rev the engine in nutural.

I tought it might be, but i plugged the exhaust as good as i could but couldn`t hear anything..maybe need more load on the engine?

If it were an exhaust leak, I think more load on the engine would make it blend in and go away.

could be vacuum leak on rubber with "l" shape. where you test sync. give those hoses a look at
