Just purchased timing belt covers for a GL1200. Got the covers and a fistfull of hardware, but NO insructions on how to install. Does anyone have these covers on their bike that can help with instuctions for installation?? Perhaps someone has the proper instructions that comes with the set and can email them to me?? Perhaps a hand drawn facsimilie?? Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

You will have to pull the lower fairing covers and the radiator to get proper access for this. You may as well fit new timing belts while you have the covers off.

To change the timing belt covers, take off the lower fairings and take the radiator loose on the bottom leave the top hose on. Hold the bottom of the radiator foward with a bungee cord. If you have the tool kit that came with the wing, there will be a allen socket in it to fit the bolts. After you remove the bolts tap on the old covers and the will come unstuck. ( Remove very gently ) Do not tear the rubber gaskets, they are pricey from Honda. And this would probably be a good time to replace belts also. You may have to glue the rubber gaskets to the new covers, it makes it easier.......Gary
