Ok All you experts. I have read all the postings I can find and am ready to changethe timing belts on my new old 1986 Aspy SEI. Belts from Carquest $12.50 each, Got the thing torn down , radiator off, and I CANNOT find the cap to see the timing marks! Can some please send me or post a picture of exactly where the darn thing is at. I do not understand how you can see the marks if it is up on top of the motor without using a mirror. I can't go any farther till I find the darn thing. HELP!!! Kim in Bisbee AZ.

on the 1200 sei the timing hole/plug has a vacuum pipe attached to the top of it. You need to remove the fuel filter to get in to it. detach the filter, move the pipes out of the way, detach the crankcase breather and away you go. the T1 mark is easily found.

there was a method posted around here used by a ducati guru. for some it may be easy.
