First bike was a 440 BSA single, never changed the tires.
Next bike a 750 4 Honda, never changed the tire.
Next was an 850 4 Suzuki
That was then.

Now a 1980 GL1100 at 6 years with me, Metzlers.

Then I drove the bikes to over 100,000 miles they needed tires by the new owners but I have never bought tires for a bike.

The Wing is a heavy bike. What is the realistic lifespan of tires for a Wing if driven at the speed limit or 10-20 above. ! up, proper PSI.

Any comments are appreciated.

I run Dunlop 404's and get about 10K on the rear and twice that on the front. E3's get considerably more I hear.

11,000 would be considered very good mileage for any Goldwing tyre. You might get more, but you are riding more on luck than rubber by then.

Fitz that means I am done with both the tires. I bought that bike and it came with the Metzlers and at that time they looked new. Six years later and 25,000 km (15,500 miles) I have put on the bike they still look good and drive well with no annoyances.

Am I missing something? Little to no weathering and they are always at pressure when in use. I deflate them to 1/2 pressure during storage.

From comments made I will keep a watchful eye on them.
