I don't know much about the 1100 but I wouldn't think so.

I got just over 4k on the rear riding one up. Not a very good tire for the heavy bikes. May do fine on light weight cruiser.

i run a firestone spit fire ive had it on for almost 3000 miles and no eneven wear present still looks almost brand new i have an 1100 also i would think 5k out of a 100 dollar tire is horrible the tires on my car have been on there for almost 80,000 miles

Why would you want a Dunnie to last any longer? Now you can get rid of it and install a good tire.

Try a set of Bridgestone Spitfire S-11 tires. You'll never go back.

I run the D404 on mine as well and the rear is cupping badly with only about 3500 miles on it. I was thinking of switching to a couple of radials next time, just don't know which one's to choose.

your wheels are not set up for running radials you'd be asking for trouble find bias-ply tires that the experts on this site reccomend and you'll be much safer. Ride well, why? me

D404s are probably OK on a naked 1100 but just were not designed for an interstate or aspy. They may be cheap but not economical.

i tried both the d404 and the bridgestone spitfire.
spitfire is a little more expensive but lasts longer either on a 1100 or a 1200

I use Dunlop E3's on my GL1100 with a sidecar and get 10-12000 miles. Pressure at 42 psi.

I just changed out the 404's on my Gl1100. 10,000 on the rear. 18,400 on the front. It still had a few thousand left. One thing I noticed, The 404's now show they are made in Indonesa instead of Japan.
