Hello,
I have been looking into tire all week, Was told the Venom X was a great tire..
Here is my problem, The tire size I have on my 83 now are
( Rear 140\90 16 ) ( Front 120/90 18 )
but the specs say they should be
( front 110/90-19) ( Rear 130/90-17)
does this mean I have the wrong rims or someone put a different size last time I had tires installed.
Other then Dunlop tire anyone have another suggestions..
Not that I have a problem with Dunlop , Just thought I would try something different this time.
Thank you

80-81 had the 17/19's
82-83 had the 16/18's
your wheels are correct for that year

that siite has other errors too. They list the rear caliper as single piston but it is a 2 piston in reality. First year with linked front and rear brakes. 140 90 16 rear and 120 90 18 front is the right size. There is not much clearance on the sides of the rear tire so anything bigger will rub

I am sold on the metzlers marathons--with dyna beads. I got 16,000 miles on my rear and the front is still going. Both were replaced at the same time 3 years ago.

Way better than dunlops-imo
on my 83 gl1100
