The G702 is a hard tyre. Much as I don't like the Avons noise, the softer rubber might be wiser for Winter riding.

Just keep an eye on the rear tire.
Plusses: Good life, neutral handling, decent cornering grip, price.
Minuses: Noise, rear tire splitting.
