Almost an Ace, :gunhead:4 jap flags on tank. I had recoved this 80 wing from a Shed in Pa and decided NOT to restore it to its former Glory. Paying 125.00 USD's for it, I had nothing to loose, the faring was banged as well as the bags and a slight dent in the down tube from the left crash head guard. (after the crash, the previous ower rode it for another 4 years and 40K, no problems) So, I repared it all, got her running well, (that was easy) and decided to change her in to a Politically UNCORRECT head turner.

Here it is, New ***** tires, front and rear, engine looks rough, runs great, new rear seal on rear drive, new fork seals on front, front brakes work great, rear is iffy, probable needs a Master cyclinder kit. , all chrome for the top of the bags, front wind screen shieldand the trunk is Dull Black, Spray paint comaflage olive Drab, I masKed out and airbrushed the teeth and eyes after researching the Web for P-40 Curtiss WarHawks,Painted stencils say, "PROP DANGER, AV GAS 84, NO STEP, AAAF 434362743, TOJO.S TERROR" IN 2 PLACES AIRBRUSHED, White USAAF stars on top of backs, front and sides as pictures tell tail. I have the radio after market mount for the left front of the faring., the radio (does not know if it works), the front Clarion Speakers. Also the red warning ligh comes on for the rear shocks about a hour after filling with air so I think some work needs to be done on the "O" rings. All the lights guages, turns signals work and the fan works....I think this handles very nice, and is not as "clunky" as my 84 Aspencade

Some of the chrome parts have a "Patina of Rust" and the Alumimun parts some minor Patina of corrusion to help look the part of a 60 Year old aircraft.

There are NO GL1100 logosleft on the machine except the valve covers.
NOW WHAT do I do??? how about a MUSTANG?:action:LOOK AT THE PICTURES ON THE GALLERY, i AM SURE YOU CAN FIND THEM

Any ways I will sell this ART WORK for $1100, or I will through in a Very nice Champagne 84 Apencade that runs great with a recent new stator, You can have both for $3900 FOB SCRANTON, PA call me at 570 815 6294

HI there, everyone, I really appreciate your great commets on the P-40, I really only did it to see if it could be done, due to the unigue shape of the GL1100 it really fit well, the prelude of this was to get the design ready for the R1200RT BMW which, if you check the BMW web sites fits the design even better....problem is ruining the paint on the R1200, does anyone have an Idea of how to add paint that is semi permanent?? Actually, the BMW is being considered for the paint of a German Me 109D... so the paint problem still applies. Let me know please.:?

Now a faveor to ask, I have been reciving KUDO's but no offers of Purchase, tell your friends to "Pony up" so I have room in the garaqge for the next one....Some one should looking for this for a rider, an attraction or a auction off piece.

problem is not the teeth as I can get that at the sign shop, it is the over all paint on the body, the ME 109 and the FW 190 both had comaflage design and that needs to be painted
