Hey Newbiker,
On my 1100 the “stiffness” of the choke cable is adjustable. Where the choke knob connects to the little metal arm (how it’s mounted) up by the speedometer is where you adjust it… or at least on mine.
The tighter you twist the nylon nut to mount the knob, the tighter the mount holds the shaft of the knob making it harder to move in and out.
Yours might be similar.
