Hi, I am thinking about getting a Harbor Freight trailer (found a used one with just a couple of hundred miles on it) adding a Sears cartop, and getting a hitch. (I'm doing all of this in hopes of convincing my wife to go camping next summer in Colorado. So, some questions:

Do any of you 1100 guys not recommend using my 83 as a tow vehichle?

I have a Markland light bar that wraps around the lower part of my saddle bags. Will this impact the type of hitch I can get?

Where can I find a hitch, besides Saber Cycle?

Any other trailing tips for an 83 would be appreciated.

The most sold hitch for the 1100/1200's is made by Add-On and is sold on plenty of sites besides SBC. Even J C Whitney carries it. I use it and pull my HB trailer with no problems.

Do a search of the forum for trailers or Harbor Freight and you'll pull up plenty of post pertaining to trailers and the wirng of them.

goto craigslist and find a car top carrier there for half price or less. I just posted 4 of them on the other post on this same idea, a thread by Jimsjinx
