Didn't there used to be a section on here pertaining to converting to a trike? I am curious about converting mine but I fear it will cost more that I have to spend.

I have the space, tools, mechanical ability and time. Money is the issue. I will check out the mention page.

we used to have a member here that used old Jaguar rear ends for his trike mods.

he has gotten out of the motorcycle business altogether now, he just got too old to stay with it.

One thing that is mentioned a lot, is to go with Full Independent Suspension.

I can personally vouch that a Solid rear axle with leaf springs is a BAD idea!!!

On my one and only ride on a Trike, it was as above, and I purposely took it down roads that I knew to have potholes in them, and bad asphalt pavement with chunks missing.

I was almost thrown off the seat of the trike.

I took it back to the owner, and told my friend who was wanting to buy a trike, that this one is NOT for him. Nor would it ever be for me.

he later found an 1800 with full independent suspension and his wife and he ride it a lot.

There is a third alternative, and that is airbags plus shock in back. That's what mine has. I have not compared it to a trike with IRS, but I have no complaints. I suspect that the IRS might be smoother.
