Trike performance GL1800

A question for all the 1800 trikers, what sort of top speed do you achieve on your trike. My bike has now just over 3500 miles on it and while on the motorway I openned it up in topgear, 2up, and it reached 100mph and that was it. I dropped down a gear and it pulled just over 100.



Not that I want to travel at such speeds but I am rather disapointed, I thought it would be quicker. I normally cruise at 70 with occasional bursts up to 85 when overtaking on the motorway but most of my rides are on B roads so it is not an issue.



Just interested on your experiance.

do you know if the trike setups has a different final drive ratio than stock? or even what gear ratio it uses cuz i guess different trike builders use different rations. that could be the explanation.

I thought there was a limiter on the 1800's.
