Trike tyres

I have a CSC trike conversion on my 2008 1800 which has done only 3000 miles from new. The front tyre is wearing very quickly in the centreand is now just above the legal limit for depth. The pressure I am running is 35psi which I think is about right.

Is possible to mount a car tyre on the front wheel or is there a better wearing tyre on the market that is suitable for a trike?

Probably have to buy a new tyre in a few weeks so any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I run a Bridgestone Battleaxe BT45. This is basically a rear tire for a crotch rocket. The other option is a Michelin Pilot Activ . Both are bias ply compared to the stock radial and youll find steering input is easier because youre not fighting the radial sidewall and your mileage should go from 7-8000 on the front to 25-30,000 with the bias ply. There is a thing where they claim you should run them in reverse rotation because they are back tires and that its the dynamics of the tire but people have run them forward and backwards with no issues. but they are definitely an improvement over the stock front tire on a trike.
