We made it to destination. The ride was very wet. In Missisipe we got caught into some sort of weather system that opened the sky on us.
There were radio emergency sent out about area flooding. We saw entire parking lots and fields flooded around us.
The rain was comng down sideways furiously.
With all the precaution we got pretty wet. My boots had lots of water in them. My wife shirt and pants got wet
The ride was one of the top three for me jn riding difficulty . However we arrived here and were greeted by the people we met in Georgia. We also met new riders.
Here is a pic of the people having a food get together. The second pic is Norfork River
Next door to the cabins.
Observe the fog surrounding it.

Sorry to hear this John. But only you know whats best for you . Kudos for looking out for John. I expect it will be tough leaving Georgia without the bike.

A good get together with other riding folks.
We have spent 3 days in here and despite the 80% chance of rain we haven't had any.
Tomorrow morning will pack up and head to other locations

Yesterday we had a decent ride to Branson MO.
Have seen 3 deer in different occasions.
We took the ferry across Bull Shoals Lake.
Arrived in Branson under cloudy skies and 92 F
The on board GPS took us to the hotel location. Except there was no Clarion Hotel around that area. I put the destination by address so we switched to phone and rode for another 8 miles.
Big screw up on motorcycle Garmin
Went to SIX show which was decent

Today we went to Dolly Partons Stampede.
I would call it very good and the chicken dinner is ok.
Tomorrow will check out of Branson

And as Dnnis says it is time for a B line to home.
Atlanta is always a pain to drive thru.
We timed it right but there are too many careless people on the road
There were 2 accidents in Atlanta.
I didnt mention it before but we saw an overturned truck on a road with almost no traffic.
Again we rode about 400 miles which is rather tiring especially in heavy traffic

Today we rode the last 380 miles segment of the trip. We're home
If I had to guess in these 10 days we put about 2300 miles.
The most fun part was meeting with the group and socializing
The hotels are opening up and we had the standard breakfast in the last two days
The other hotels offered breakfast to go which is useless to us.

If anyone goes to Branson do it week days. Otherwise the town is way too crowded and you have to wait an hour for dinner or breakfast. Probably for lunch too ( we regularly skip it)
The coolest place in the trip home was........FLORIDA.
When watching the weather reports during summer add 3-4 degrees to the high. It will most likely be that much higher on the roadway.

93F is not too bad with a good ventig vest. Above 95F you need a cooling vest and above 97F you need a cool hotel
400 miles per day is on the high end and not much fun.
I prefer 300 miles per day in cool days and back roads.
This concludes Norfork Trip Thanks for following it
