The rubbing trunk has been a problem since the 1800 arrived in 01. Honda are well aware that this is an ongoing fault that annoys customers. All they have to do is get the makers to put better wear tabs on the base and they won't wear off (a continous wear tab all round would sort this out for good), tell thesuppliers to sort it or get new suppliers.
