Trunk Release on gl1800

I am a new member to the forum, I remember seeing an article on installing a emergency trunk release on the GL1800 but can't remember where. Any info on this would be appreciated. My wing appears to have one installed but cannot operate it.:?

Hello dynarider51, Could you be more pacific on what your asking. Will your trunk open at all with the remote and or key. I'm not aware of an emerg trunk release on the 1800. There is a way to open it but the seat will have to come off first. Welcome to the site and hope we can help you. Tony:waving:

the trunk opens fine now, just thinking of the future and trying to identify the piece of wire with a pull loop in it that ends between the back of the seat and the trunkon my chanpion triked goldwing. keep the shiney sid e up.
