If this is for your speaker fitting mentioned in another post, you don't have to remove the trunk. The screws for the speaker pods can be removed from below the pods. There are 2 hidden screws which means you need to remove the trunk lid plastic liner to get to them. The hole for the wires to pass through the speaker pod can be drilled without removing the trunk.

Trunk removal on the 1800 is harder than on the other Wings. I gave someone a hand fitting the CB radio and the trunk had to come off to fit mounting brackets. Took a while to remove, wires to the trunk lights also had to be untangled.

That's too bad. I found that installing my CB in my 05, 1800, the whole job only took 1 1/2 hours and I never saw a reason to remove the trunk! I did have a right hand drill adapter to make the antenna wire hole. That tool helped a lot but without it I could have used a hot wire and melt the hole like a buddy did. :gunhead:

Another friend paid a dealer $300 to install his CB. That really made my sad!:D

As for the origional post.... I have no experience removing a trunk on a 1800... sorry!:(
