Turn signals not working

I recently purchased an 83 Goldwing GL 1100. I have had some work done on it to get it into riding condition (hadnt been on the road sinde 95). My problem is this....The turn signals on the right side work fine, but the left side signals dont work at all. Ive replaced the bulbs in the front and back, but that has not solved the problem. I have checked the fused in the front fairing but all seem to be ok. Is there anywhere else to check for fuses ?

Check under the seat, there are some connectors that may have been accidently unplugged. They are small 1 and 2 pin connectors that go to the rear lights. If one becomes unplugged, that side will not flash.

I had that on my SilverWing when the PO allowed it to sit for 6 years... not only might they be unplugged.. they might be corroded.. Check with voltmeter till you find the faulty connection SilverDave

Could be the flasher as well. If the connections are all OK, then change out the flasher. Honda wants some big $ for a new one. I used an auto flasher butcan't remember which one right now. It's been in my 83 Aspencade for almost two years now and has been working flawlessly! If you want I'll look it up later and post it. It was only a few $ at an auto parts store and easy to install.

I will check them...thanks for the tip. My bike hasnt seen the road for 10 yrs so I wouldnt be surprised if there is a little corrosion

I just want to thank everyone for the help...you all have been great. I checked all the wiring and it ended up being the switch itself. Now I have to figure out why my tailights arent working.

Alright guys.....Ive checked all the bulbs and wiring and I cant find a problem with them, but I cant get the tail lights to come on. Any suggestions?:baffled:

You don't say if you have metered out the line right from the fuse box over the airfilter Start there using 20 nvdc scale; work your way back; there is a lighting module that you have to watch out for as well as the connections under seat. Is your headlight on when ignition on?

Thanks to all of you that helped. It turns out that the problem was poor contact with the fuse that runs the tail lights. The contacts probably hadnt been touched since the bike was originally purchased. After a little cleaning they now work fine. Thanks again to everyone.

I like to give the switches a little shot of WD-40 once or twice a year. I use WD-40 over contact cleaner because it doesn't remove the lube grease in the switches but it does wonders for the mechanical operation and evaporates.
