Twist the throttle had a show about honda and the history of the motorcycle company. they had the last part of the show dedicated to the goldwing and went through the history of the bike. It was pretty cool. I got even more confidence in the bike after watching the show. :)

If you can catch it, check it out.

I've seen that really a great show goes through the history of honda from day one. They also have programs on BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki and a bunch of others well worth a look. :action:

Don't know how true it is.......but, a Honda Dealer told me that 'QUALITY ASSURANCE' here in America was suffering on the Goldwingsdue tothe 'American Worker'. (too many shortcuts, problems& glitches were slipping through the cracks - had too manyproduct recalls )

So, Japan was shutting down production over here & calling the manufacturing back to the 'Mother Country' to improve & stabalize the quality of the Goldwings that were being built.

My guess is that Mother Honda just wanted to make more profits on her own...but what do I know...I just ride 'em !! :action:

I wrote a personal letter to Mother Honda about my thoughts of them returning an American Product to the Home Land and how I thought they were judging to harshly the very people that have made them what they are. :)

It only takes a few moments and you all should do the same thing, pro or con.
