Hi Fellow Wingers,

I have a type II stereo in my 82 Aspy. It all works a treat exactly like it should.
The problem I have is one of age. Back in them days radio stations were a lot more spaced out on the AM and FM band than they are today.
As a result, I cant tune into any station. I can only tune into the ones that match the old stereo.
Its all about the tuning frequency step size. Its something like 18kHz on AM and .4mHz on FM, now days stations are 9kHz and .1mHz.

So, anyone know if the tuning step size can be changed on this set?

Thanks a heap.

Ben.

Welcome to the forum Ben. I think the problem may be that your radio is up side down. On the top side of the world, I can tune all the stations. LOL.

The radios with the "clicking" type of tuner can be adjusted from the antenna box inside the fairing if so equipped.. There is no adjustment to the radio itself that a layman can do. If the antenna wire connects directly to the back of the radio, you must take the radio to a repair shop (someone who knows his stuff) and they can tweak the frequency spacing. :waving:
