Hello Wingers
I have discovered a couple of things on my 1500SE. Should I be worried with what appears to be the scarf joint in the tyre outer covers. My front is Elite 3 and rear Elite 2 both fitted 10k miles ago in Sept 2010. Pics taken today. I cannot tell the date of manufacture of the rear.:praying:

The E3 was manufactured in the 10th week of 2010 and the eII looks to be the 35th week of 2002.

In your case, irrelevant since both tires have visible dry rot and cracking. I would change those tires out and not ride them.

I would not ride on those tires to the end of my driveway and it is about 30 feet long.
