Is anyone using the U-Channel Clamp Base with 1" Ball from RAM on the dash of the GL1800? This looks good on the computer screen and I'm looking for something that can be removed without leaving holes in the bike :)

I would like to know it fits before I go ahead and order a bracket system for my GoPro camera. I know it attaches to some airplane dashes, but want to be sure for my bike.

I don't know but I wish I had seen it before I ordered the brake/clutch mount base. I would probably use that to mount to the lower edge of the windshield, probably with something for a flat surface pad under the clamp screws.

That clamp looks a little undergunned for holding anything with a bit of weight or wind drag. Plastic screws don't seem suffiicient to me. Steel or brass screws with a small plate on the inside would be a good idea. Might also be good to line the clamp with a bit of rubber to protect what it's clamped to.
