Their box trailers don't have the tie downs in the right place Jim. That's from memory several years ago.
An open car trailer would be better. Lots of solid rails on that and usually loops to tie off to.
maybe you could find a dual rail m/c trailer on craigslist? The rental rates for U-haul are through the roof.
I looked at going to Fort Wayne, IN and renting a trailer to pull my wife's car back from up there. Plus her dad and his things.
Sticker shock, one-way and round trip (too many days).
I bought a tow dolly off of craigslist and towed it up, and the car back on it. Then I sold the tow dolly. The only thing that went wrong, was I had to put a set of tires on the tow dolly, so it almost washed out the savings :X
But, look around, see what you can do in that arena. Buy/sell is often a cheaper way.
Ummmm, why do you want to go back to California? Way more expensive out there than where you are.
