Does anyone know if these ( Unitta Super Power Grip 88AZ19) are the original timing belts on a GL1200? I went to change them out of precaution because the bike is new to me, and I was just wondering if anyone had heard of these belts. Thanks very much.

If Honda is also printed on them they could be original. Since you are already in there and they are pretty cheap go ahead and change them, they could still be pretty old.

Unitta and Super Power Grip are Gates trade names.. Unitta is the asian division that supplies, among other places,the japanese market.. Usually the original belt will add "Honda" on it also, (but Gates does make these OEM belts).. If it doesn't say "Honda", it could just be a gates replacement, but like said.. if you can't verify when it was installed, better to do it now...
