I read all the other tire posts for my 82 GL1100,as noted front tire size 120/90H-18, rear tire 140/90H-16, I found from my research best tire is the Dunlop Elite 3,

Front-MR90H-18, 116.99

Rear-MU90HB-16, 117.99

Thank you for your reply, I'm going to get these tires next year. I wish I would have choosea better gradewhen I first bought my bike. When you have the bike all a part is the time to put the best tires on. I put dunlop 404 ( I think)series tire front and back, they have been a good tire but tread is going down pretty fast, notice heat checking on the front tread. I'm around 6.000 miles on them, I'm hoping to get more from the Elite3's. I did try the tire installer option on Motorcyle Superstore, I noticed they want103.00 dollars to remove wheels from bike and 30.00 a piece to mount. I find it best to remove the wheels myself, checking brake pads front and rear, replacing pinch bolts on front axle, lubricating both axles with high temp grease. My wife always asks prior tocycle season why is your bike hanging from the ceiling, my reply is just doing seasonal maintenance. I sure enjoy my bike, may the force be with you.
