Ural/Knepr Final Swap

This may be the wrong Forum, but here goes:

I will hack-it someday, but want a poweredsidecar wheel. If I have to go the Ural/Knepr route then I'll want VW instead of Ural, Knepr or BMW power. Lotta work.

I'd rather swap final drives and figure some kinda reverse (older GL base). Both alotta work. The latter w/more thought.

Anyone ever seen it done?

I'm getting a 500 ISE message. Yeah, something's going on with their server.

I'll keep trying it periodically.

I'll try the short version of it and swim.

They have a thread going about the site's forum problems and are in the process of switching to a new hosting service and upgrading their forum software, their software is old, like written in 2003 according to the post from one of their admins.

Just seen it on old BMWs and Zundapps. Sidecar wheel could use trailing arm, outer CV, and hub from post '67 air-cooled VW bug.

VW makes for interesting thought in many ways... thanks.
Needless to say that this thread is one that will take a while to evolve but, the plan is still the same.
Now that the engine is squared-away as I envisioned it to be, I can put more focus on getting the rear dive output moving along.
A Honda part not in possession yet.
Sourced only.

that looks like a drive unit for a quad . Do they come in a gear ratio close enough ? Just thinking they normaly have smaller diameter tires .
Interesting idea . I'd love to watch this evolve.
It is.
I will use the best of each drive . ..and more.
I would like to stay with Honda factory parts while incorporating my redesign of them.
My redesigning and re-use of their parts will serve (in a technical sense) a homologous purpose.

...that is the plan.
