Can't blame them, it's like used cars, ask for the moon you neve know when someone will come along and hand it over. It's like the second window sticker on new cars too. I asked a dealer what the $3000 ADM item was on an additional window stickerand in a moment of unusual candor he told me it stood for "additional dealer markup". I askedwho the hell would pay that and was told that I'd be surprised how many did, they didn't actually expect to get it but occasionally they did so it was worth printing up the extra sticker in hopes.
I doubt they actually expect to get that much for the bike but if they ask a reasonable price it doesn't leave any dealing room. I never did like doing business like a Persian Bazaar (it's okay, Persia doesn't exist today, if you think that's too non PC). That's the beauty of eBay and the Internet, you can see what the going prices really are. Has anyone taken a selling price from eBay to a dealer to see what they'd say?
