I left Wytheville, looking for roads I have not riden before. They would have to be twisty. I traveled down 81 south to exit 35 Chilhowie, I took Whitetop Road south over two great mountains. Then west on 58, WOW WOW It was great look on the map how twestie. 58 to Damascus, then 91 south to 67 west. That took me past Watauga reservoir. I stayed on 67 to Johnson City and 26 south to Asheville KOA. Tomorrow Blue Ridge. By The Way Its cold and wet.

Gene, glad to see you are having a fun and safe trip! Just keep posting those pictures. Route 151 is an exit off of the BRP near Ashville. That is one twisty road. One of the local's called it Devil's Drop. If you have not tried it yet, it would be a nice ride.

When you go back north, Go to Marion Va. Hit Hwy.16 north to Tazwell Va.
32 miles of Twisties. They call it The back of the Dragon.

I have been on that road, it is a good road!

Someday, I might even get to ride it with NC Aspenwing!!!!

I have rode with others riders from southern California to main and from Florida to Alaska...... some from other counties, yet the guy right in my back yard I have yet to even meet...............

Not that we haven't tried........

Maybe this will be the summer!

I am home. I left NC. this morning were frost covered my camper. Then rain, and cold, and fog. Who would think that you would go north to get warm??
The blue Ridge is closed near Asheville, so that did it for me.
Last night rain, high wind, and cold. Two loud trains passed in the night, right behind my camper. the geese stay up all night, and honk. I slept like a baby.
