With regards to valve lash, some schools say just enough resistance to leave traces on the residual oil on the gauge. Others say a medium pull. On Honda cars the gauge barely fits because it's so tight.I thought about doing it myself, butI don't want it to sound like a tank when I'm done. Does anyone use a "Go, No Go" gauge??

Yea, you can check it with the next size up and see if it will slide through; 0.004 fits/0.005 won't fit.

I use go, no go gauges sometimes and sometimes not, depending on how hard it is to access the valves. They are fine to use on the bike.

i use no go s on all my overhauls and never had a problem
