Vetter vs honda. What's your opinion?

Ok I 'm thinking on removing the Vetter trunk and bags and going with the Honda interstate trunk and bags. Here's a link to an earlier thread.http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum4/70430.html

I recieved my freebie interstate trunk and rack with the key from Neil fron the Nakedwings forum and it's in near mint shape. Rack is spotless and zero rust. Thanks a bunch Neil. What I decided to do was to remove the Vetter trunk and install the Honda trink to see what it would look like and after doing that I seem to really like the look of the Honda trunk with the Vetter Bags. Check it out and tell me what you think.

it has been asked a lot of times... ur set looks rly shiny and weel keept, but i still think its ugly so i would take it off. MY OPINION

I like the balanced appearance of the Honda trunk with the Vetter bags.

Great combo IMO.

I'm with John on this one. The Honda trunk looks like it was made to match the Vetter bags, smooth transition from the bottom of the trunk to the tops of the bags. I like it!!!

Now the Vetter trunk has more room but always looked too bulky and top heavy to me.

The main thing I liked about the Vetter bags I had was that they would come off the bike like a suitcase to carry in the hotel or tent with you.

Your combo there looks good, not what you see everyday either.

Thanks all for the replies. It looks like the majority rules on this one and I like it too. The Honda trunk and Vetter bags stay for now. I have yet to take it for a spin to see how it feels but the rain is a pain right now. I also like the option of taking both bags and trunk off with a key. Would make it nice if you're on a trip and you can take it all into the room. Couldn't do that before with either stock setup. The Vetter bag hardware was easally fabed to work with the Honda trunk rack hardware.The trunks color isn't a perfect paint match but it's dark enough and looks close so for now I'll live with it for the rest of the season and I'll paint the trunk to match this winter.

In my opinion the Vetter stuff is just plain old ugly. The fairings the bags the trunks all of it just butt lickin ugly.

I currently have the Black Bates Bag. My First Goldwing had the Vetters. I liked the Vetters Better to that Wing. On my current, I like the Bates, so its if you like it, don't worry what others think about it! Below is the pic of my first Wing with the Vetters. To the left is my current. I wil soon have pics of my 83 Gl1100 Aspencade up.

In my opinion the Vetters look cool from the rear but not good at all from the side. All in all, I don't like them.
