I did a search and found nothing so I'll throw this question out. Is there a web site that you can plug you motorcycle vin in and it will give you the info on your bike? Like my Mercedes Benz is a grey car so I had to use a Germany vin info site but it gave me where it was built stuff it had colors and all that good stuff. Sorry started running off is there a web site for motorcycles?

Here is a site for "general" VIN info: http://www.analogx.com/CONTENTS/vinview.htm

If you want specific info on 17 digit VINS, the last 5 digits are used to identify the 'specific' vehicle. Services like CARFAX.COM will do this for you for a small fee. Also, some local Police agencies may run it through the LEIN for you.

Note: If anything happened to a vehicle without it being reported to the NICB [insurance claims], it won't show. Very common on older bikes.

Vehicles made after 1981 have 17 digit VINs.

Pre 1981 vehicles probably won't have much useful info.

However, if you have a high dollar restoration, antique, etc., you will want a vehicle "history" where no info [salvage, etc] is good info.
