My factory gauge does not indicate what my VOM at battery indicates. My VOM at the battery will indicate 14.2 - 14.6. But the factory volt gauge indicates much less.....13.2 - 13.6. These readings are at 2500 rpm+. Can this be corrected? I have done the rewire, volt reg wires to battery, positive and ground and all three yellow wires directly.

What does your VOM measure at at the back of the gauge? Get as close as you can. Wire thickness makes a BIG difference.

I used to work on Mac computers back in the day and they used to have a thin wire gauge harness from the power / sweep board to the mother board. Power supply end would measure 12.4V and the end on the motherboard would be 12.2V. Swap with the newer style cable harness and the motherboard voltage would rise to 12.35V. As this harness was only 1 foot long at most...
