voltage regulator 1983 1100 honda goldwing

hi my lower voltages that run the temp and the fuel gages are higher than they should

be 8.55 [they should be 7v d.c.] does this voltage come from the voltage regulator itself

or some other component?

Yes, it comes from a 12v to 7v voltage regulator located between the gauges. Not the regulator that regulates the battery charging.

A fairly common failure. You can find replacement regulators from people parting out bikes, or get aftermarket replacements: Goldwing 7 volt Regulator
